EACH ARTWORK HAS ITS STORY
The "Collection Libre" (Free Collection) is like a laboratory. Exploring, again and again. Simply creating, with no other purpose than to transform one's mental images into reality. Or sometimes just having fun. FREEDOM, CREATIVITY, EXPLORATION, NO ENCLOSURE IN A STYLE, NO FRONTEERS.
THE APPROACH TO WORK
This work marks a turning point in the artistic path of Severine C., allowing her to orient herself towards more maximalist universes and referring to the memories of her childhood in Provence or her attraction for fashion.
After her geometric or detailed first steps for the Paris Collections with "Revolution" and "Oh!", Severine continues her exploration with a totally free style. She decloisters her own spaces to focus on figurative or suggested forms, atmospheres, the Parisian style, fashion too (reference to the striped t-shirt of Jean-Paul Gaultier), and winks as at Notre Dame de Paris.
Why this tittle?
What more parisian (or French) that the "Café"?
