Severine C. is a prolific multidisciplinary visual artist and author, whose work ranges from painting to drawing, design, scenography, interior stylism or writing. She escapes the categories of genre.
Severine decides one day to reconnect with the artist. With the creator. With the author.
The path is longer when it is undertaken late. One must deconstruct, undo, let go, to return to the source. And there, experiment, seek, dare, discover oneself.
Three great universes naturally impose themselves: the painting, the scenic creation, the writing. Several declensions appear, arborescent witnesses of what is happening in her mind.
Her living space becomes her atelier, her office. She sees poetry, the offbeat, the staging. The waste, the everyday objects, the fruits and vegetables.
Her painted or constructed universes, sometimes reveal themselves very illuminated or colorful, sometimes darker or intimate. Like the Yin and the Yang, everything is complete.
Her cramped atelier of six square meters, forces her to inventiveness. The formats expand, stretch, spread out. The 'Kube' is born. It allows her to decline her painting into several projections, like a kaleidoscope. She refuses uniformity, and claims imperfection as a witness to our humanity.
The painting, the image, is no longer central, but becomes part of a larger picture.
Everything is only way. The one to highlight a place, a wall, a room, a universe, a project, an object.
... Life.
